Hello Summer Fruit,

If you own a Red Raspberry Bush, you should be checking to see if it is ready to be picked and enjoyed.

I was doing a weed pull in my garden when I went near my Red Raspberry Bush and noticed it was full of red raspberries.  I ran back into the house and picked this beautiful bowl handmade by my sister Jacquie Blondin.  I picked the ripest ones and then did a second run of the bushes as I was going away for the weekend and knew that this was a bit of a battle between the birds and me.  Every year I have to get out there before the birds do or they get to enjoy the crop.

As there were three of us at home, we each got about 3/4 cup to enjoy.

If you don’t own a Red Raspberry bush, head over to your Farmer’s Market, Local store or Organic store and enjoy this season’s bounty.

Do you love pottery?  Plan to attend the Mississauga Potters Guild Juried Exhibition hosted at the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga. The exhibition will take place between August 24, 2013 and September 29, 2013.  Mark your calendars and save up cause you will want to drop by to see what they have and I am sure you will be tempted to purchase an original work created by one of the artists when they are available to buy.

Or maybe you would like to learn how to do pottery yourself.  They have classes that you can attend.  Time to start signing-up for Fall classes to help you discover your creative flare.
