My t-shirt reminds me why I am on this road to wellness – it is to help others feel great too!
Attention Agents of Change,
2 years ago I read the quote “You must be the change you wish to see” which came from Gandhi. At the time I was wondering how to improve the work/life balance of my team and how I could help my daughter eat healthier. When I was bugging my daughter one night about food choices she said to me “Mom, I am happy with myself – maybe you need to look at yourself to see what is making you unhappy”. A couple of days later I read the quote and wrote it down on a piece of paper on my desk. Then I rewrote it and put it over my desk as a reminder to myself that change has to come from me – not from others around me. It was me that needed to model good eating habits, exercise, kindness and balance.
The sign above my desk was eventually placed on my fridge as a reminder to everyone in the house that we all have the potential to “Be the Change”.
When I saw this t-shirt at a yoga conference (made from hemp through Me to We) I knew I had to take the message beyond my fridge door.
Today as a learn more about nutrition, yoga, pilates, cardio, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), tapping, green juice and so much more, my greatest wish is to help everyone lead a life filled with joy, happiness, laughter, forgiveness and health.
May each of you choose to be the change you wish to see.
