A Green Juice Cheers to celebrate 2 years of drinking Green Juice and feeling great
Hello Sweet Friends,
I am back!  It has been months since my last post and frankly I missed all of you.  But I was lost for words and distracted with trying out video and Instagram and with taking two cooking courses.  I was just watching Julie/Julia and recalled how much I loved writing to you.  And it hit me – I want to write again.  And I don’t need to make it so complex. So today, I want to share with you my milestone of drinking green juice and eating gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free for two years!

My 21 days of Green Juice from two years ago. I marked each day with a green cup. After the 21 days, I kept going because I felt so great.

My wellness journey continues daily.  I make decisions on what I need each day and sometimes I make amazing choices and other days I make poor choices.  I am human.  I am not perfect.  And my body lets me know when I make imperfect choices.  I am grateful for the reminder.
Last week I started a 21 day challenge with myself to get back in cardio shape along with doing weights for strength building.  I had less energy and was finding yoga too hard.  I knew that I had let this very important part of wellness slide so I challenged myself to get back into shape.  After just 7 days I feel the muscle returning and best of all I jump out of bed with lots of energy.  If you really want to understand the impact of exercise on aging, I recommend reading “Younger Next Year ” by Chris Crowley and Henry S. Lodge M.D.  This book got me to join a gym almost three years ago.

Green Juice Love

When I changed my eating, it was through a 21 day challenge with Kris Carr.  Since then, I have done many other 21 day challenges, from exercise at the gym, to walking, to writing on this blog.  I find that 21 days is a magical number that allows me commit to a set time and to feel like I can do it.  Each day when I don’t feel like doing the task, I do it because I don’t want to let myself down.  After all, I am my own cheerleader.  Yes, I need a team to cheer me on, but my own internal cheerleader is the one that gets the green juice love each day.
So tell me, if you were to do a 21 day challenge, what would you do it on?  Or if you already did a 21 day challenge, tell me about it below in the comments.
Together we will grow and cheer each other on during our wellness journeys.
Raising a glass of green juice to all of you.  I am doing a happy dance to be back writing.  Maybe it is the green juice or the exercise or the great food I have been making or watching Julie/Julia….either way I am smiling and loving this very moment.
Thank you for joining me to date.
Cheers,
Jo-Ann Blondin,
