Here are the poems I wrote for my entries into Gastropost.
Pomegranate Haiku
Pomegranates –
Tear open, sweet tangy seeds
Burgundy hands
Pomegranates Win
Dried cranberries were close to my heart
Covered in sugar to make not tart
Pomegranates my diet now a part
Breaking into the fruit is an art
Dried cranberries not in my diet
Pomegranates win – time to try it
Here is a visual reference for the future to get into the amazing seeds of the pomegranate or you can read my post for full directions.

Congrats Jo! You might want to read MomWhoRuns’ blog post/interview with the Gastropost team: http://momwhoruns.com/behind-the-scenes-interview-with-gastropost. It’s nice to get the background story on the Gastropost feature, especially for those of us who don’t follow the National Post as much as say, the Ottawa Citizen.
Lara, thanks for the background article on Gastropost from blogger MomWhoRuns. My blog followers and readers are from all over the world, so information that helps give more insights into some of my posts is always appreciated.
